🌟 Meet Ava: The Heart of the RJ Homes Team Behind the Scenes
At RJ Homes, we believe that success in real estate isn’t just about what happens in front of clients — it’s also about the powerhouse working behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. Today, we’re excited to introduce one of the most vital members of our team — Ava, our Administrative & Transaction Coordinator.
From Newcomer to Key Team Member
Ava’s journey with the RJ Homes Team began shortly after moving to Canada with her husband and two kids in late 2023. Within just one month of arriving, she joined our team as an Inside Sales Agent (ISA) — a role focused on connecting with leads, nurturing relationships, and setting appointments for our agents.
“I was calling all day, every day,” Ava shared with a smile. “The goal was simple — connect with people and help them find the right agent on our team.”
Her dedication and professionalism quickly stood out, and within just three months, she transitioned into an Administrative Assistant role — perfectly aligning with her studies in Business Administration at Northwest College in Edmonton.
A Perfect Fit: Education Meets Opportunity
At the time, Ava was completing a full-year Administrative Professional course — a program designed to prepare students for exactly the kind of role she now excels in. It was a win-win situation for both sides: Ava gained valuable, hands-on experience while the team gained a skilled professional who could help improve systems and operations.
Rob shared,
“It was kind of a perfect match. Ava was learning the theory while applying it directly here on the team. And honestly, she handled the transition incredibly well — even when things got busy fast.”
The Backbone of Every Deal
Today, Ava oversees the administrative backbone of the RJ Homes Team. Her key responsibilities include:
✅ Managing and submitting contracts to ensure full compliance with brokerage requirements.
✅ Overseeing the listing process from start to finish.
✅ Coordinating all transactions to make sure every agent gets paid smoothly and on time.
✅ Assisting with new agent onboarding and internal communications.
In other words, Ava ensures that all the fine details — the paperwork, deadlines, and behind-the-scenes logistics — are handled efficiently so that the agents can focus on what truly matters: serving clients, showing homes, and negotiating deals.
A Team Built on Systems, Support, and Collaboration
At RJ Homes, we take pride in having systems and processes that empower every team member to perform at their best. Ava plays a central role in maintaining these systems — from managing checklists to ensuring compliance and communication flow.
As Rob put it,
“Our goal is to take as much of the administrative load off our agents as possible. That way, they can focus on money-making activities — prospecting, showing homes, and closing deals — while Ava and the rest of the support team handle everything else.”
